Alberto is a family-run trouser house from Germany, known for engineering modern stretch and performance fabrics into traditionally tailored cuts. Their Ceramica program — a proprietary fabric woven with mineral fibres for breathability, moisture management, and shape recovery — is the brand's signature, and it shows up across denim, chinos, and dress trousers.
Where Alberto stands apart is the depth of fits. Most trouser brands settle on one or two cuts. Alberto runs a deep bench: Pipe and Rob through the regular and slim five-pocket range, Lou for pleated trousers, Steve for chinos, Earnie for golf-style shorts, and a dedicated 5-Pocket Dress block for dressier 5-pocket trousers. Each fit is its own block — none of them are scaled versions of the same cut.

Half-measurements taken flat.
Waist. Across the top of the waistband, laid flat. Not doubled. To compare with body waist, multiply by 2 and add a touch for fit ease.
Thigh. Straight across the leg at the crotch seam, laid flat. The widest point of the leg.
Knee. Across the leg about 13 inches below the crotch seam.
Bottom Opening. Across the leg hem.
Rise. From the crotch seam straight up to the top of the waistband at the front.

Does Alberto run small?
Alberto runs true to your labelled waist. The slim cuts (Pipe, Rob/Robin, Stone) are leaner through the thigh and knee than typical North American trousers, more in line with European cuts. If you've worn AG, Alberto is comparable. If you've only worn Levi's or other fuller-cut denim, expect a closer fit.
What's the difference between Pipe and Stone?
Same fit block, different fabric. Pipe is the standard Regular Slim 5-Pocket cut available in cotton denim and trouser fabrics. Stone is the same cut but in Alberto's Ceramica stretch fabric. The Ceramica fabric has more recovery, finishes cleaner through the leg, and runs about half an inch higher in the rise due to how the fabric drapes. Same length, same waist size — just a different feel on the body.
What's the difference between Pipe and Rob/Robin?
Pipe is regular slim — slim through the leg with a slight taper. Rob/Robin is meaningfully trimmer through the thigh and knee with a more pronounced taper at the bottom. If you want a leaner silhouette, go Rob/Robin. If you want comfort with a tailored line, go Pipe.
How does Alberto's Ceramica fabric perform?
Ceramica is Alberto's proprietary technical fabric, woven with mineral-based fibres for moisture management, breathability, and stretch recovery. Fits like a polished trouser, holds its shape through long days, and recovers fully after a wash. We've had customers wear Ceramica pieces for years without measurable bagging at the knees or seat.
What inseam length will my Alberto come in?
Stock inseams run 32, 34, or 36. Most pairs ship at 34. We hem to your length at no charge — let us know your inseam at checkout or call us before we ship. Standard Alberto stock will not come in shorter than 32 or longer than 36.
Where is Alberto made?
Alberto is a German trouser house. Cutting and finishing are done in their European production facilities. Fabrics are sourced across Europe, with the Ceramica fabric program engineered specifically for the brand.
Do you offer hemming?
Yes, complimentary with every Alberto purchase. Clean finish or chain-stitch on denim, standard hem on trousers and chinos. Just tell us your inseam at checkout or call before we ship.
What's your return policy on Alberto?
Standard 14 days from purchase, unworn, with original tags attached. Pairs that have been hemmed or otherwise altered are final sale. If you're shopping online and unsure of size, call us first or book a fitting in store.
