About Loopwheeling

What is loopwheeling?
A knitting method from the 1920s. The fabric is made slowly and under almost no tension, about one metre every ninety minutes, and it comes off the machine as a seamless tube. That is why there are no side seams.

Why does it cost more than an ordinary tee?
Speed, mostly. A modern machine produces in minutes what a loopwheel takes an hour and a half to make, and only two mills in the world still run them. What you get for it is a denser, fuller cotton that softens with wear rather than thinning out.

How should it fit?
Closer than you expect. Size one to one and a half up from your usual North American size, and allow about three quarters of an inch of length after the first cold wash. Measurements for every style.
