A custom suit from Mr. Derk starts with a conversation, not a catalogue.
We work with you to choose your fabric, details, and silhouette — then build the suit through Empire, our Canadian manufacturing partner. It comes back to us for in-house tailoring, where we refine the fit to your exact build before it ever touches a hanger.
The result is a garment that fits because it was made for you. Not adjusted. Made.
Three Generations. One Standard.
It started in 1939 in Čakovec, Croatia, where Sterling's grandfather Stephen Derk built a reputation as a tailor, stitch by stitch, client by client. In 1946, the family immigrated to Canada and brought that craft with them.
Three generations later, Mr. Derk is still independently owned and operated in Edmonton, still tailoring in-house, and still taking the time to actually know the people who walk through the door.

Alden of New England
Alden has been making shoes in Middleborough, Massachusetts, for over 140 years. Every pair is constructed using traditional Goodyear welt methods — built to be resoled, rebuilt, and worn for decades. That's not a selling point. It's just how they've always done it.
We carry Alden because it's the standard by which other dress shoes get measured. Shell cordovan, calf leather, boots and oxfords — each one a long-term investment in how you show up.

We recently began bringing in a carefully selected range of niche fragrance houses — the kind of brands that don't show up at the mall. Escentric Molecules from Berlin. D.S. & Durga from Brooklyn. And our newest addition, CBCB Fragrances — a small independent house out of Toronto.
Each one chosen for the same reason we choose everything else on our floor: you won't find it everywhere, and it's worth owning.
