The Stenströms Size Chart
Stenströms has been making shirts in Helsingborg, Sweden since 1899 — five generations of Royal Warrant precision, 60 work steps per shirt, 23 individually cut parts. Every Stenströms shirt at Mr. Derk is offered in one of two cuts, with brand-published measurements that hold true wash after wash.
Slimline or Regular
Slimline sits closer to the body with a tapered waist and a narrower sleeve. The fit for clients who prefer a sharper, more contemporary silhouette that follows the body's lines.
Regular is Stenströms' slightly fuller cut — formerly known as Fitted Body — offering more room through the chest and midsection while still maintaining a clean, tailored line. The fit for clients who want comfort and ease without going boxy.

Slimline — closer to the body, narrower sleeve

Regular — fuller cut, more room through chest and midsection

Stenströms' fuller cut, formerly known as Fitted Body. Brand-published measurements. Allow ±1 cm variance. Body measurements toggle between centimetres and inches via the IN/CM buttons. 3XL collar (47-48) is exclusive to the Regular fit.
Match a shirt you already own
If you are not sure which size to pick, take a shirt that fits the way you like, lay it flat, and measure the points below. All measurements are in centimetres unless otherwise stated.
Measure your neck tightly below the Adam's apple. Put one finger between the tape and your neck for the right fit.
Measure the chest width across the garment under the armhole. Multiply by 2 for full circumference.
Measure the width at the narrowest point of the shirt. Multiply by 2.
Measure the width at the bottom hem of the shirt. Multiply by 2.
Measure from the lower edge of the collar, down the back to the bottom of the shirt.
Measure from the middle of the back of the neck, along the top of the sleeve, to where the cuff ends.
Choosing Slimline vs Regular
The cleanest way to decide: take a shirt you already own that fits the way you like, lay it flat, and measure across the chest just below the armhole. Multiply by 2 for full-circle. Compare that number to the Chest row in the chart above.
If your favourite shirt's chest measurement is closer to the Slimline column for your collar size, that's your fit. If it's closer to the Regular column, go Regular.
For most clients between sizes within one fit, we recommend sizing up a half-size at the collar. Stenströms cuts run true to brand standard, but the collar is the one measurement that's hard to alter, so leave yourself room.
Still unsure? Come into the store. We've been fitting men in shirts for over 80 years and the difference between the right fit and the almost-right fit is something you feel immediately.
What about Comfort or Superslim?
Stenströms produces additional fits at the brand level — Comfort (a fuller cut beyond Regular) and Superslim (slimmer than Slimline). We do not stock these on our floor or online, but we can special-order either fit through our distributor for clients who need them.
