A wool and silk tie with real texture, from Drake's of London. The cloth is an oxford weave, the same small basketweave you know from an oxford shirt, worked here on a dark ground with fine grey pin dots that only show up when you are close. The cloth knots with a soft, dry hand and a matte face, so it sits easily with flannel, tweed and knitwear under an oxford button-down, and it takes a business suit in a more relaxed direction without losing its manners.
