Size Chart

The Copley last runs long. Most clients take a half size down from their Brannock length. It sizes very comparably to the Van last, so if you already know your size in a 986 or 987, start there.

Where you land depends on why you need the width:

  • Taking a wider width for a high arch or instep: go down a half size from your Brannock length. The width is doing its work over the top of the foot rather than across the ball, so the length still runs long on you.
  • Taking a wider width because the foot is genuinely broad across the ball and you want the room: stay at your true Brannock size.

The toe is softly rounded and slightly elongated, which is where the extra length reads from. Copley is a flat last with a generous instep, so it suits a high arch well and gives less support underfoot if your foot is flat.
