There is something particularly useful about a jacket that sits comfortably between an overshirt and traditional outerwear. The Dark Sand Cordford Casual Jacket by Barbour earned its place in our collection for exactly that reason. Cut from 100% cotton twill, it has the structure and durability we expect from Barbour, but with a cleaner, more contemporary character that makes it exceptionally easy to wear through the transitional seasons.

The cotton twill outer gives the Cordford a substantial yet comfortable hand, while its warm Dark Sand colour offers an easy alternative to navy or olive. An exposed metal front zip keeps the design clean and understated, complemented by a shaped stand collar with stud fastening that adds structure around the neckline. The lower welt pockets with metal rivet detailing introduce just enough rugged character without taking away from the jacket's refined appearance.

Inside, Barbour combines a 100% polyester lining with 100% cotton buggy lining, while the collar itself is also finished in 100% cotton. Tonal Barbour embroidery at the wearer's left pocket keeps the branding discreet, something we particularly appreciate on a jacket this versatile. With a 70 cm back length, the proportions are easy to layer without feeling cumbersome.
