A blazer that swaps the usual dry clean stiffness for something you would actually reach for on a cold Saturday. The trick is the hood. Zip it off and you have got a clean three button sport coat with a notched lapel and patch pockets, straightforward tailoring underneath. Zip it back on and the same jacket does double duty as your outer layer walking to the truck.
The Revah family built this house out of Montreal in the early eighties chasing European fabric the mainstream menswear racks were not carrying yet, and that habit of folding something unexpected into a classic block is still the signature. Here it shows up as a soft jersey bib, hood included, zipped onto a fully tailored wool shell. Two fabric languages on one jacket: structured wool through the body, knit ease at the collar, and corozo buttons instead of plastic down the front.
Cut to the same true to size block as our other tailored coats here, so if you already know your chest number in a sport coat, buy that number. The hood attaches by zipper. Wear it open under a topcoat, or zip it on as your only outer layer on a milder day, not both at once.
We brought this one in as the single blazer in the case that does not make you choose between dressed up and dressed for the weather.
