The henley built on a mid-century knitting machine Merz pulled out of retirement. Reinforced woven placket, mother-of-pearl buttons, flat-knit cuffs, and the same triangle underarm insert you get on the loopwheeled tees.
Knit in Albstadt, Germany from GOTS-certified organic cotton. 6.8 oz of 2-thread organic cotton jersey, 230 gsm. Broader in the shoulders than the 215, slightly shaped at the waist, a refined fit that sits cleanly under a layer or stands on its own. The kind of long-sleeve you reach for from October through April.
Sizing runs small. If you're a medium elsewhere, you want a size 6 (LG) here. Not pre-shrunk, so expect about 3/4" (2 cm) off the length after the first cold wash. Worth knowing going in.
A henley that earns its place as a base layer or a standalone. The one we reach for when the 215 is too short-sleeved for the weather.
