The mill still runs the original loopwheel machines from that era and is the only company in Europe knitting on them today. Slow speed and low tension produces a seamless tubular fabric with a dense, even structure that ordinary knits cannot match.
Paneled crew neck with triangle inserts where the rib meets the body, ribbed cuffs and hem that hold shape wash after wash. Deep dye-through black, not surface-treated, so it holds its colour through years of cold washes. The heavy sweatshirt you buy once and wear for a decade.
Sizing runs small. If you are a medium elsewhere, you want a size 6 (LG) here. Not pre-shrunk, so expect about 1" (2 to 3 cm) off the length and a touch of width after the first cold wash. Worth knowing going in.
