A second act for a cloth already earning its keep in the collection. This mid grey clothe returns here on the Alzer cut, a closer, more sculpted silhouette than the Aidan block we already carry in the similar fabric, giving a customer who likes a sharper line through the waist to choose from.
The cloth is the same comfortable stretch blend as its Aidan sibling: 55% wool, 41% polyester (recycled) and 4% elastane, with enough give to hold its shape through a long day without losing the crispness of the check. Strellson has been building precise, wearable European tailoring out of Kreuzlingen, Switzerland since 1984, and the Alzer jacket shows that discipline in its shaping darts and dividing seams, cut tighter through the body than a standard slim block for a more deliberate line.
The Alzer runs closer through the chest and waist than the Aidan fit in the same cloth, so if you are between sizes here, size up rather than down. The Melwin trouser keeps things simple underneath: pressed crease, hook-and-zip closure, side slit pockets, welt pockets behind.
