About Barbour

Barbour has waxed cotton since 1894, and the wax is the whole point. A Sylkoil finish sheds rain, blocks wind and takes a scratch without tearing, and it keeps working for as long as you keep re-waxing it. A jacket bought now should still be in service in twenty years.

These are the waxed styles we hold in Canada. The Bedale is the shorter riding cut with open hem and a corduroy collar, the Beaufort runs longer with a game pocket across the back, and the Ashby sits between the two in a slimmer modern line. All three take a zip-in liner for an Edmonton January.

Sizes are limited on waxed jackets and they do not come back once the season runs. Free in-store tailoring and fitting at our Edmonton shop, and we ship across Canada.
