Ascot Gray is the grey T-shirt that isn't dressy and isn't gym-wear. Family-owned in Portland, Oregon since 1920. Four generations, one factory in the Pearl District, and their own knitting mill on-site. That means one of the last US shops that cut, sew, and knit their own fabric in the same building. The same shop that makes their varsity jackets and the N-1 deck jacket modelled on the founder's son's WWII service.

Cut heavy from 5.6 oz cotton jersey, garment dyed for a softer hand out of the bag and a colour that settles a shade darker after the first wash. Self-bound neck, blind-stitched sleeves and hem, and a zig-zag stitch at the neck label. The small stuff that separates a $95 tee from a three-pack.
