A lightweight wool scarf from Drake's, made in Italy, printed with the Birds of Paradise design on a dark chocolate ground and edged in rust. It's a busy print, and a good one: long-tailed birds in burgundy, purple and deep blue, crested ones with orange heads, pairs of small birds along the branches, and teal and green leaves with cream blossoms scattered between them.

The deep brown and warm rust sit comfortably with tweed, corduroy and a waxed jacket, and the teal and green in the leaves give a charcoal or olive overcoat something to play off. There's enough length to wrap or knot, and both ends finish in a fine, short fringe.

One size, 65 cm wide and 190 cm long.
