Brown Textured Single-Breasted Wool Waistcoat

A knit waistcoat is the easiest way to get a third piece into the week without wearing a suit. Under a sport coat it fills the gap between shirt and jacket. Over an open shirt with jeans, it makes a plain Saturday look planned.

Five buttons down the front, a V-neck and two pockets low on the front. The knit is smooth and fine rather than chunky. The yarn is extra fine merino wool, and the family behind the brand has been knitting in Abruzzo since 1952 and does its own dyeing in-house.

Brown is the easy one to wear. It sits next to navy, grey flannel, olive and denim, and under a tweed jacket it is a softer choice than black. We have the same waistcoat in black and chocolate too.

Standard fit. Order the chest size you wear in a jacket, and if you sit between sizes take the larger. The brand sizes in Italian numbers, which run ten higher than ours, so a 40R from us is a 50 on its own scale.
