A shacket does the job a blazer would on the days you can't be bothered with one. Over a tee, over a polo, over a shirt with the collar open, it dresses the outfit up without looking like you tried. Navy is the easy colour to build around: grey flannels, denim, brown suede, a white shirt, all of it works.
The family that makes it has been knitting in Sant'Egidio alla Vibrata, in Abruzzo, since 1952, and they still run the place. Most of what we carry from them is sweaters and polos, so this is the one that goes where a jacket would.
