About Tramarossa
Tramarossa began in Vicenza in 1967, when a tailor named Urbano Chemello decided a pair of jeans could be cut and finished with the same care as a trouser. The name comes from the trama rossa, the red weft thread he ran through his early denim. His sons relaunched the house as Sartoria Tramarossa in 2003, and the jeans are still made in the Veneto, with a small scissor on the pocket as a nod to where they came from.
The Michelangelo is the signature fit: a straight, lower-rise five-pocket in stretch denim that sits and moves like a tailored trouser and needs no breaking in. We carry it in raw, rinse, soft-dye and enzyme-washed finishes, with the Luis chino cut from the same super-stretch cloth for the days denim is too casual. Sizes run from 29 to 38, and our tailors hem every pair in house.
