De Bonne Facture

White Artist Shirt Cotton & Hemp Gabardine

$479.00 CAD

Description

A white shirt for people who do not wear suits. Same silhouette as the rest of the Artist family, the shirt this house built its name on, but in a cloth that makes white feel like a casual choice instead of a formal one.

The gabardine is woven in Japan from 78% cotton and 22% hemp. The hemp is what makes it: a dry, crisp texture with a slight slub, stronger than cotton alone, and it gets softer and better looking with every wash.

The cut is generous through the body and sleeve. It runs a full size bigger than you expect. If you wear a large in most shirts, take the MM to LG here, and size down whenever you are in between.

Sewn in Fânzeres, Portugal, in the atelier of João Nuno Luz, whose name is on the label. Wear it open-collared with wool trousers now, and with everything else come spring.
