The Chromexcel upper pulls up as it wears, deepening at the vamp and gaining the burnished character of a boot broken in the proper way. Blake construction, fully resoleable, so the pair earns its keep for years, not seasons.

Upper: Horween Chromexcel Dark Brown, tanned in Chicago. Hot-stuffed with oils and waxes, full-grain, 2.0 to 2.2mm.
Lining: full-grain calf leather.
Sole: TPU, Blake-stitched to the upper.
Insole: EVA foam with a leather top cover, leather heel counter and lasting board.
Chromexcel wants oil, not wax. Wipe down with a horsehair brush after wear. Every few months feed the leather with a light coat of Venetian shoe cream or Saphir Renovateur. Skip hard wax polish, it fights the finish.
Cedar trees when they are resting. Rotate pairs, 24 hours off between wears keeps the leather from breaking down at the flex point.
Blake construction means the sole can be replaced. We are setting up a preferred resole partner with Goral, so ask us before you take a pair to another cobbler, because Goral says its own rebuild service is only offered on pairs that have not been repaired by anyone else.
Size Chart
Runs true to size. Chromexcel takes a little time to break in, and then it softens and moulds to the foot.
The Baslow is made in whole sizes only, no half sizes. If you sit between sizes, Goral recommends going up a size.
If you are in Edmonton, come get sized in the shop. Free size swaps within Canada if the first pair does not fit.
Cut on a single last, regular width. There is no wide fitting available on this style.

Sizes on our site are shown in US. Goral sizes in UK, one full size below the US size shown, and publishes the matching EU size. A US 10 is a UK 9 and an EU 43. Tap UK or EU to switch the primary column and read your size across. The Baslow runs true to size and is made in whole sizes only. We list US 8 to 12.
