Harley of Scotland has been crafting refined knitwear since 1929, drawing on the rich textile heritage of Scotland’s northeast. Known for their seamless construction and use of sustainably sourced fibres, Harley produces garments that combine tradition, comfort, and timeless style.
This lightweight, single-ply crewneck is knitted in Peterhead, Scotland using undyed, hand-selected Shetland Voe wool in its natural black hue—a deep, earthy tone closer to dark brown, rich with subtle variation from the sheep’s fleece. Naturally breathable, insulating, and antibacterial, this wool has long been favoured for its resilience and comfort—even worn by Sir Edmund Hillary during his historic 1953 Everest expedition.
Featuring a saddle shoulder construction for added mobility and a refined fit, the sweater is finished with ribbed cuffs and hem for a clean silhouette.
