Black waxed canvas on the outside, brown mouton on the inside. Dehen calls the brown Kodiak. It sits at the collar and runs through the whole lining, and the buttons down the front are dark brown to match. The black shell keeps it easy to wear with anything, and the Kodiak collar is the one detail that sets it apart.
This is Dehen's version of the Navy N-1 deck jacket from the Second World War. The shell is 10.10 oz waxed canvas with a mottled, broken-in surface from day one, and the cuffs are 100% worsted wool, knit at Dehen's own factory in Portland on 1940s machines. The label sewn inside the collar says so.
It fits slim through the body because of the mouton lining. If you're between sizes, go up.
Sizing is easiest in person, so come try one on. We're open seven days a week.

These are the maker's own garment measurements, taken flat. Chest is measured pit to pit and doubled. The jacket fits slim because of the mouton lining. If you measure between sizes, go up. Dehen's sizes run S, M, L, XL, XXL, which are our SM, MM, LG, XL, 2XL in the same order. Dehen publishes no measurements for a 3XL, so call 780-431-4293 if you need that size.
