The house's signature trouser, and the shape people come in asking about. High rise, full through the seat and thigh, then a taper to a cropped hem that keeps all that volume looking deliberate instead of borrowed.
This edition is cut from a dense wool and cotton weave, 82% wool and 18% cotton, finished to be water repellent. It is the same cloth as the Driver's Jacket, so the pair works as a set, and on its own the trouser does the work a grey flannel usually does, with more character.
The waist runs snug for the size. If you are between sizes, size up. On a size 48 the waist fits 32 inches, the front rise is 12.25 in (31 cm) and the inseam finishes at 28.75 in (73 cm). The crop is by design, made to sit at the ankle over a loafer or boot.
Made by Le Textile in Bagnolet, on the eastern edge of Paris, whose name is on the label. If you have never tried volume in a trouser, this is the one to start with.
